Stud Your Sneakers on the Cheap!

Feb 27th, 2009 | By Seventeen.com Article Feed | Category: From Your Favorite Magazines

Studded sneakers are a fun way to express yourself and add flare to an old or boring pair. Here’s how to do it:

Get a hot glue gun and pick up a pack of prism studs (like these from Michaels, available nationwide at Michael’s stores).

Before you start working, come up with a concept (studs all the way around the bottom above the rubber, studs following the trim near the laces, studs around the Converse logo, etc.).

Style Council: Alisa’s Look of the Day!

Feb 26th, 2009 | By Seventeen.com Article Feed | Category: From Your Favorite Magazines

Hello, fashionistas!
Here’s an outfit that I wore to a party recently. I like it because
it’s comfy and simple, yet simultaneously cute! I LOVE maroon and black
together, which is why I chose to wear those colors. The color combo to
me SCREAMS mystery and sophistication (two characteristics that
describe me). The cardigan is from Target, the maroon leotard
underneath is from Urban Outfitters, the Bread Denim jeans are from
Loehmann’s, and the boots are also from Urban Outfitters.

Style Council: Madisen’s Look of the Day!

Feb 26th, 2009 | By Seventeen.com Article Feed | Category: From Your Favorite Magazines

This outfit is ONE of my favorites; I always bring it home (to Virginia) with me — well, the dress, at least, and
usually mix it up with different-colored tights (purple) and shoes. I
love it so much, and it’s one of my most inexpensive purchases yet. My
dress is from a previous Target line, my shoes are from the Gap (Gap
designer, I know, how awesome!).

Style Council: Courtney’s Look of the Day!

Feb 25th, 2009 | By Seventeen.com Article Feed | Category: From Your Favorite Magazines

When it comes to my absolute favorite thing to wear, it’s hands down DRESSES. Dresses, dresses, dresses. I don’t
think there is anything more feminine, or form-flattering, or more
versatile. I’m not really big on wearing pants, and HATE shopping for
jeans, so a dress is always a welcome option. But since the weather is
still cold, don’t be afraid to wear a dress with a pair of tights (all
crazy colors welcome!) and a cardigan over the top.
